Farm Fun in the Sun at Titsey Place
As part of our ongoing collaboration with The Care Farm Project, we were lucky enough to take a group of clients to see one of the tenant farms at Titsey Place in Oxted. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Titsey Place, this historical manor house is full of fascinating tales and has been owned by some very interesting characters. The most famous of which was Sir John Gresham in the Tudor times.

Our visit was blessed with warm weather and blue skies, and we enjoyed a walk around the farm to see the resident animals. We met with two young bulls, lots of cows with calves in tow (including a cheeky fellow who had escaped his pen!) and some chatty Jacob sheep. We even got a sneak peak at the ginormous machinery used to bring in the crop harvest (which seem even bigger in real life versus on the tv!).
Following a sweeping walk through the rolling fields we arrived at Titsey Place café and gardens where we stopped for our lunch in the sunshine. To round off the day we were kindly granted access into the magical walled garden of Titsey Place. Usually a paid entry garden, we were thrilled to see all the vibrant flowers and seasonal produce growing here. We even got to go inside of the huge greenhouses to see the tropical plants and warmer weather fruit and vegetables such as tomatoes, grapes and peaches.
A fantastic day was had by all and clients and staff alike are looking forward to our next visit to Titsey Place farm which will feature an art class by a local artist on the 2nd July.
