Made of Many Pieces | Mosaic Workshop

, , ,

The mosaic-making process began with each person choosing a slate shape and planning their own design using colourful glass tiles, beads, mirrored pieces and small decorative details. Some worked with bold patterns and repeated shapes, while others created looser, more instinctive designs. The pieces were gradually arranged, moved and adjusted until everyone was happy with the balance of colour, shape and texture.

Once the designs were complete, the tiles were fixed securely in place and the spaces between them were filled with white grout. This brought each piece together, making the colours stand out and giving the mosaics their finished look. The result was a wonderfully varied collection of handmade decorations, with every piece reflecting the personality and creativity of the person who made it.

Enjoy looking at the designs and ideas in more detail:

With utmost thanks to Sam and Corinna for another successful and enjoyable workshop.
