From Sonnets to Sci-Fi – Celebrating Culture Club together
Culture Club was created for people who are curious — even if they don’t quite know what they’re curious about yet.
Think you know what you like?! Culture Club might surprise you!
Since January, we’ve journeyed from the structure of the Shakespearean sonnet to the storytelling power of Dolly Parton, from Kelly Reichardt’s First Cow to the mystical music of Hildegard of Bingen.
We’ve also explored sci-fi thought experiments in the short stories of Ted Chiang.
And we’re not done yet!
We’ll soon be laughing along with Wallace and Gromit and getting cosy with Creature Comforts; exploring liberation through the poetry of Maya Angelou and the music of Nina Simone; discovering the delicate, more-than-human worlds within Adília Lopes’ animal and plant poems; watching some hilarious short comedy films; and contemplating boldly reimagined Greek myths.
Every week opens a door onto a new world full of diverse perspectives, thoughts, and feelings!

Big Conversations, Beautiful Feedback
A season of curiosity, connection and kind words…
I’ve learnt about so many different things that I’ve never thought about before.
Andrzej’s just amazing the way he is able to speak all these different languages!
It’s really opened my eyes to learning about different things.

Andrzej’s put so much effort into all the different topics.
Together, we became our own ‘pieces and parts’ —
forming a beautiful mosaic of shared ideas, reflections and imagination.

We hope to see you there! Find out more: ccwaythrough.org.uk/events/culture-club-weekly
