ABOUT THIS SESSION
Come along and enjoy a relaxed, hands-on workshop where you’ll weave your own beautiful willow creations.
From 3D hearts and hanging birdfeeders to Swedish stars, flowers, and other seasonal designs, you’ll have the chance to craft something truly unique — whether it’s a striking centrepiece or a small, delicate piece to treasure.
The crafting table will be under shelter but open to the elements from the side, so please bring appropriate clothing – For guidance on what you’ll need, please check the What to Wear section below.
FOOD AND DRINK
Enjoy free tea and coffee during your time on the farm!
If you’d prefer a cold drink, feel free to bring your drinks along with you.
Please bring your own lunch, water and something to drink.
WHAT TO WEAR
The crafting table will be under shelter but open to the elements from the side, so please bring appropriate clothing: Wear flat shoes/boots and bring comfortable, lightweight layers such as a fleece and a waterproof… suitable for the very changeable English summer weather!
If it’s sunny please bring a hat and suntan lotion.
TRANSPORT
Let us know in advance if you’d like to use the free minibus service.
Arrive at Wingfield for 10.20am as the minibus will leave promptly at 10:30am, aiming to arrive at the farm by 11:00am.
After the session finishes at 2:00pm, the return minibus will bring you back to Wingfield by around 2:30pm.
By Car: Make your own way there and park at the venue. Details will be provided nearer the time.

SURREY HILLS SOCIETY
The Surrey Hills Society, in partnership with the Surrey Hills National Landscape and Growing Health Together project have been awarded a grant to initiate a pilot of nature-based health interventions on farms in East Surrey. These can support the mental health of people from all ages and backgrounds with Surrey Heartlands’ priority communities as the focus. The priority area is focused on prevention, removing barriers, and supporting people to become proactive in improving their emotional health and wellbeing.
Through farming-related activity, such as animal care, mechanics or horticulture, people have the opportunity to participate in a meaningful way.
