At the Redhill Safe Haven wellbeing hours, we made Share-i-Doodles — collaborative drawings designed to bring people together through colour, imagination and a little positive mischief.
Each person began their own doodle before passing it to someone else to add new patterns, pictures and splashes of colour. The doodles continued to travel around the group, growing and changing with every contribution until each one became a unique shared creation.
To finish the activity, we added positive adjectives describing the person whose doodle we had helped to create:
Kind and caring
Thoughtful and accepting
Friendly and brave
Ingenious and kind
Funny, strong, creative, intelligent, unbreakable and capable
The finished pieces were not only colourful works of art, but lovely reminders of the strengths and qualities other people see in us.
Another productive session filled with creativity, connection and plenty of encouragement.
