I first came to Waythrough when I attended a course on confidence building. It was incredibly helpful and made a real difference in my life.

Since then, I’ve taken part in many workshops and activities, and have met some truly inspiring people along the way.

I chose to become a Peer Support Volunteer because I want to connect with others and support them on their journey of wellbeing and recovery. Every client’s story is unique, but I’ve found that the shared connection we build at Waythrough can be genuinely life changing. It’s a privilege to be part of something that helps people move forward.

It’s incredibly important to me to help those who struggle to feel less alone and encourage them to reach out for support.
I’m honoured to work with such a diverse range of service users, all of whom continually inspire me on their recovery journeys.

It’s a pleasure to support the Waythrough team who are incredible – so skilled, dedicated and compassionate.

Recovery & Connect

Service Manager Recovery & Connect and Wellbeing Matters

Senior Recovery & Connect Worker

I am a Senior Mental Health Worker working within the Recovery & Connect service. I take time to get to know my patients, exploring their hopes for their future and concerns about taking those first few steps on their recovery journey.  We then work together to develop a personal recovery plan, which may include signposting them to other community based services.

Recovery and Connect Worker

I help people think about their wellbeing and what they need to be happy and well, and then work with them to find ways of achieving this. Sometimes our work together can be very focused and specific, and at other times it can be a bit more free flowing, but it always involves getting to know the client and listening to them.
